Introduction.

What's a Smiley ?
Electronioc comunication has a lot of limits. one of the biggest is the difficulty to express our mood's changes, emotions , feelings of a real comunications.
Smileys ( or if you want "internet's little faces" ) try to resolve this problem. A smiley is a particoular combination of keyboard's letters, a fantasy's play. But it's also more ... a way to explain our mood, to emphasize our feeling about something.
Smiley is a Net's invention and it is property of the Net.
In this page you'll find a simple "dictionary" of this "common knowledge" that makes us a group when we are in chat.

How smiley were born.

It's not possible to say when the first smiley was designed ... and when people began tu use it.
But we know that these "simbols" were used to adorn or personalize electronic messages also at ArpaNet's (the "mother of what today you know as internet) time, in the sixties.
ArpaNet's tecnology became "popular" also in the universyties and Internet was born. With it also the use of smiley spread over the world : now nothing is better to give electronic comunication's informality

How to look a smiley.

There are three ways to enjoy the smileys of this page :

Lazy man's technique :
Bend your head the most possible to the left,look and smile!
Far-sighted man's tecnique :
Don't risk to take a stiff neck , turn right of 90 degrees your monitor.
"Healthily" tecnique :
Print everything and look it easily !

Basic Smiley.

:-)	Basic Smiley. It's used for joking.	:->	Something fun has been said.
;-)	Winking smiley. It mean :"Don't hit me!!!".	>:->	Diabolic smiley. It's for sly or wicked sentences
:-(	Sad smiley. Last sentence was not agreeable: it irritated or made sad!	>;->	Wincking & diabolic both. It means something "not decent"!!!.
